Dean Erika James consistently raises the bar in higher education as an award-winning educator, leading expert in her field, and respected mentor who has paved the way for women leaders. She was the first woman and first person of color to be appointed dean of the Wharton School in the institution’s 139-year history.
The ability to imagine pervades our entire existence. It influences everything we do, think about, and create. It leads to elaborate theories, dreams, and inventions in any profession from the realms of academia to engineering and the arts. Ultimately, imagination influences everything we do. We each can use our imagination to create a better tomorrow. This is a gift that allows us to change the world around us.

Freddie Jackson & Midnight Star

Malinda Williams is an American actress and producer. She began her career on television, before appearing in films A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, High School High, and The Wood.
From 2000 to 2004, Williams starred as Tracy “Bird” Van Adams in the Showtime drama series Soul Food, for which she received three NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series nominations. Williams also played supporting roles in Idlewild (2006), Daddy’s Little Girls (2007), First Sunday (2008), and 2 Days in New York (2012).
Freddie Jackson is an American soul singer known for his sensual slow jams and songs that serenade. The sensual and introspective sides of Freddie Jackson are on full on display on Classics like “Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)”, “Have You Ever Loved Somebody,” “Jam Tonight,” “Do Me Again,” “Tasty Love,” “You Are My Lady” and “Nice & Slow,” which have been a part of our soundtrack for romance.
Midnight Star was a synth-funk group that had a string of R&B hits in the ’80s. They hit the R&B charts with early singles like “Hot Spot” and “I’ve Been Watching You.” Their fourth album, No Parking on the Dance Floor released in 1983, took them to the top of the charts with the first single, “Freak-A-Zoid,” which went to number two, on the R&B charts and propelled the album to platinum status. Their next album, Planetary Invasion was almost as big, going platinum again and making the pop Top 20 and the number one spot on the R&B charts with its first single, “Operator.”
