The Division of Education at LeMoyne-Owen College is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) formerly the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Programs at LOC are accredited at the Initial Licensure level. CAEP through its accreditation process determines Divisions of Education, Colleges of Education, and Schools which meet extensive and rigorous national standards within each academic program in preparing teacher candidates for the classroom. Through an evidence-based process teacher candidates demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and disposition necessary to make a positive impact on students within our P-12 classrooms. LeMoyne-Owen College’s CAEP accreditation term is in effect until Fall 2028.
