Celebrate Black History Month with LOC!

LeMoyne-Owen College History is Memphis and Black history.

LeMoyne-Owen College is proud and excited to celebrate Black History Month with our Magician family and the entire Memphis community.

As the only Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Memphis and the fifth oldest HBCU in the United States, contributions from LeMoyne-Owen College graduates have shaped Memphis’ civic and social conscience, government, businesses, and so much more for 160 years.

You’ll find touches of our Magic across the Bluff City!

LOC history is Memphis history. It’s Black History! We celebrate the living legacy of the countless Black Memphians who inspire, encourage, and uplift us all to make Memphis the best it can be.

Join us for a Magical month of celebration and don’t miss our 2023 Black History Celebration Week!
