President Miller names Ms. Quinn Slaughter as interim HR director
LeMoyne-Owen College President Andrea Lewis Miller recently announced that Ms. Quinn Slaughter has joined LeMoyne-Owen College to manage the HR function in an interim capacity, effective January 14, 2019.
Ms. Slaughter will provide support to faculty, staff and our students. The search continues, however, for a permanent executive director for human resources, President Miller said.
Ms. Slaughter brings 20-plus years of human resources experience, with proven subject matter expertise in training, coaching and retention, hiring, staffing and compliance, HR systems and technology, project and change management.
She has leadership and strategic experience in diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition and recruiting; mission, vision, and strategy creation, and organizational design and development.
Ms. Slaughter also has technical and tactical skills in talent development and retention, employment branding, budgeting and forecasting, hiring, staffing and compliance, and training development and delivery.
Ms. Slaughter is a senior leader with proven leadership, strategy development and execution. She has successfully built, led and managed global teams in more than 24 countries. She is also a skilled executive coach with skills in succession planning and talent development. President Miller said Ms. Slaughter’s technical knowledge and creative leadership style will be a great asset to our transformation efforts.
Ms. Slaughter worked for International Paper as director, Global Diversity and Talent Acquisition. She also worked for xpedx as Recruiting, Diversity and Training Development manager and manager, Business Information & Training.
