5th Annual Celebrity Sunset 5K Run/Walk

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in the 5th Annual Celebrity Sunset 5K Run/Walk. This event will be on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 7:00 pm, race day registration will begin at 5:00 pm.

All proceeds from this event will go to support scholarships at LeMoyne-OwenCollege and the United Negro College Fund. Building on the success of the year’s races, of over 700 individuals participated and help to raise more than $25,000 for scholarships.

You can help us to surpass last year by:

1. Registering to run or walk
2. Registering to run or walk and have others to sponsor you
3. Being an event sponsor or a water station sponsor
4. Being a volunteer
5. Attending the lawn concert

This race takes you through the historic sites of “Soulsville, USA” including the STAX Museum of American Soul Music, historic Elmwood Cemetery, newly renovated College Park, LeMoyne-Owen College and the Famous Four Way Grill. The race will climax on the lawn of Brownlee Hall, on the campus of LeMoyne-Owen College, with a wonderful concert, food and fun.
